Eating vegetarian and barbecuing may not seem like an obvious combination. But there are delicious dishes that are perfect for barbecuing. For example, these mushroom kebabs stuffed with blue cheese.

Mushroom skewers with blue cheese

Stuff chestnut mushrooms, thread them on a skewer and place them on the BBQ.

  • BBQ


  • 1 lb chestnut mushrooms
  • 1 250 gr Roquefort cheese or other blue cheese
  • 0,5 red bell pepper
  • 0,5 red onion


  • Clean the chestnut mushrooms and remove the stem to fill the cavity.
  • Chop the roquefort, red onion and bell pepper very finely.
  • Thread the mushrooms on skewers
  • Stuff the mushrooms mushrooms with a few pieces of bell pepper and red onion and put some Roquefort on top
  • Place the skewers on the barbecue, possibly with a little olive oil on top. Make sure they don't turn or you'll lose the filling.
  • When the cheese has melted, carefully remove them from the barbecue and enjoy.
