Super simple vegetable packages for the BBQ
How to barbecue with vegetables: very easy! Make a package out of aluminum foil. Cut the vegetables of your choice, add herbs, pepper, salt and a small splash of liquid. Close the package and let the vegetables steam on the barbecue.

Mexican package
- 1 red onion
- 1 red pepper
- 1 yellow or green pepper
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 tomato
- 1 chili pepper
- 1 can corn
- 1 tsp coriander seed
- 1 tsp cumin seed
- olive oil
- pepper and salt
French package
- 1 zucchini
- 1 eggplant
- 1 red onion
- 1 red pepper
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 sprig fresh rosemary (or tablespoon dried)
Asian package
- 1 tbsp ginger root
- 1 chili pepper
- 1 carrot
- 100 gr green beans
- 50 gr bean sprouts
- 100 gr chestnut mushrooms
- 100 gr white cabbage
- 2 tbsp Ketjap Manis
Instructies
How do you make the packages?
- Cut the vegetables very small and make a plate for each type of package: Mexican, French, Asian.
- Take a piece of aluminum foil, choose the package you want to make and spoon the corresponding ingredients on it.
- Add spices, pepper, salt and a tablespoon of water.
- Close the package to allow the vegetables to steam.
- When the vegetables are cooked (within 10 minutes), remove the package from the barbecue. Be careful when opening, the water can be very hot!
Tasty combinations
- Serve the Mexican parcel with a tortilla and guacamole.
- Serve the French parcel with baguette and herb butter.
- Serve the Asian package with Seitan satay and peanut sauce.
