Ingrediënten

Pita rolls

  • 500 gr flour
  • 150 ml water
  • 150 ml soymilk
  • 25 gr fresh yeast or 7 gr dried yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructies

  • Mix the water and milk and heat until lukewarm. Add the yeast and sugar and stir.
  • Mix the flour, water/soy milk mixture, olive oil and salt in a food processor or by hand.
  • Divide into 10 equal pieces. Make balls from each piece. Roll out each ball on a floured work surface into a round piece. Do not roll out too thin, because then all the air will be out. And place on the baking tray.
  • Let rise on the baking sheet for 40 minutes with a tea towel over it.
  • In the meantime, preheat the oven to 230 degrees.
  • Place the pita breads in the oven and bake for 10 minutes until golden brown, not too dark.
