Homemade pasta
Making fresh pasta. Many people think that this is a lot of work, or very complicated, but with a little practice it is not that bad. And how nice is it to be able to put your own fresh pasta on the table with only flour, eggs and a little water.

Ingrediënten
- 400 gram flour
- 4 eggs
- 2 eetlepels water (optional)
Instructies
- Clean your countertops well and wash your hands, because making pasta is done by hand.
- Make a nest of the flour on a clean countertop. Add the remaining ingredients to the center and use a fork to gently break up the eggs. Try to keep the flour walls intact as best as you can!
- Next, gently mix in the flour with your hands. Continue working the dough to bring it together.
- Now start kneading until the dough feels cohesive and smooth.
- Wrap the dough in plastic foil and cool it in the refrigerator
- Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
- Install your pasta machine on a table.
- Cut the dough in 4 pieces and run it through your pasta machine. Start at the widest setting and continue, everytime decreasing the width of the setting. Continue until the dough is as thin you want to have. We really love thin paste so we go on until we are at setting 6 or 7.
- Choose which type of pasta you want to make and run the thin dough through the spaghetti or tagliatelli roller.
- Dry the pasta on a kitchen chair, a washing line or cook it immediately.
- Cook the pasta in boiling salted water. The pasta will be ready in a couple of minutes.
