These energy balls made from dates and hazelnuts are a healthy, tasty and easy snack.

Dates are natural sweeteners and are full of fibre, vitamins (especially B vitamins) and minerals (such as potassium and magnesium.

Hazelnuts are rich in healthy fats, protein, fibre and various vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin E, magnesium and folic acid.

Dates add a natural sweetness and caramel-like flavour to energy balls, while hazelnuts offer a delicious nutty flavour and crunchy texture. Together, they can make a tasty combination.

Easy: Making energy balls with dates and hazelnuts is very easy. Cut the dates very finely or grind them with your food processor. Add the hazelnuts and grind some more. Then roll them into small balls that you roll through the coconut flakes and you’re done.

  • 10 dates
  • 100 g of hazelnuts
  • 3 tablespoons of grated coconut

Instructies

  • Pit the dates.
  • Grind the dates together with the hazelnuts very finely to form a firm ball.
  • Turn small balls out of the mixture.
  • Roll the balls through the grated coconut.
