Apparatuur
- 1 spring form cake pan round 20 cm
- baking paper
Ingrediënten
- 250 gr butter at room temperature
- 250 gr flour
- 4 eggs
- 200 gr granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 20 gr cocoa powder
- 300 gr Duo Penotti or other chocolate spread
- 1 bag mixed chocolate easter eggs
Instructies
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees.
- Grease the spring form and cover the bottom with baking paper.
- Split the eggs.
- Add the butter, sugar, vanilla extract and salt to a bowl and beat until fluffy.
- Add the yolks one at a time while mixing.
- Clean a bowl from grease by rubbing the inside with half a lemon.
- Beat the egg whites in the bowl until stiff.
- Add the butter mixture to the egg whites and fold in. No more mixing with the mixer.
- Add 100 grams of Duo Penotti or other chocolate spread to 1/3 of the batter and fold it in. Set aside 2/3 of the batter.
- Start by filling the spring form. First a spoonful of the batter without chocolate, spread it out a bit. Then a spoonful of the chocolate batter, etc.
- Then make some zigzagging movements through the batter with a skewer or fork to create the marble effect.
- Place the mold in the oven and bake for 45 minutes. Test with a skewer whether the cake is done. If it comes out clean, the cake is ready. If not, bake it for a few more minutes.
- Let the cake cool well on a wire rack.
- Spread Duo Penotti or another chocolate spread on top with a circular motion and place the eggs (without papers) on top.
