Apparatuur

  • 1 spring form cake pan round 20 cm
  • baking paper

Ingrediënten

  • 250 gr butter at room temperature
  • 250 gr flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 gr granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 20 gr cocoa powder
  • 300 gr Duo Penotti or other chocolate spread
  • 1 bag mixed chocolate easter eggs

Instructies

  • Preheat the oven to 175 degrees.
  • Grease the spring form and cover the bottom with baking paper.
  • Split the eggs.
  • Add the butter, sugar, vanilla extract and salt to a bowl and beat until fluffy.
  • Add the yolks one at a time while mixing.
  • Clean a bowl from grease by rubbing the inside with half a lemon.
  • Beat the egg whites in the bowl until stiff.
  • Add the butter mixture to the egg whites and fold in. No more mixing with the mixer.
  • Add 100 grams of Duo Penotti or other chocolate spread to 1/3 of the batter and fold it in. Set aside 2/3 of the batter.
  • Start by filling the spring form. First a spoonful of the batter without chocolate, spread it out a bit. Then a spoonful of the chocolate batter, etc.
  • Then make some zigzagging movements through the batter with a skewer or fork to create the marble effect.
  • Place the mold in the oven and bake for 45 minutes. Test with a skewer whether the cake is done. If it comes out clean, the cake is ready. If not, bake it for a few more minutes.
  • Let the cake cool well on a wire rack.
  • Spread Duo Penotti or another chocolate spread on top with a circular motion and place the eggs (without papers) on top.
