  • 125 gr all-purpose-flour
  • 125 gr sugar
  • 125 gr butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Chocolate addition

  • 100 gr dark chocolate
  • 30 gr cocoa powder
  • 30 gr sugar
  • 50 ml milk

  • 150 gr melting chocolate
  • 25 gr white chocolate

Chocolate cake

  • Preheat the oven to 160 degrees.
  • Grease the baking tin and cover the bottom with baking paper. Place the sugar, butter, vanilla extract and salt in a bowl and mix until smooth.
  • Then add the eggs one by one. You only add the next egg when the previous one is completely incorporated.
  • Then fold in the flour and baking powder.
  • Mix the cocoa with the sugar and the milk and mix into the cake batter.
  • Spoon the dough into the baking tin and make sure it is smooth and evenly distributed.
  • Bake in the oven for about 60 minutes. Insert a skewer to check if the cake is done. If the skewer comes out clean, the cake is ready.
  • Let the cake cool completely.

  • Melt the chocolate in a bain marie. Pour the now liquid chocolate over the cake. Smooth with a spatula if necessary.
  • Then melt the white chocolate and draw some stripes over the cake. By pulling a skewer through the lines you get a nice pattern.
  • You can possibly make figures on a piece of baking paper with the remaining white chocolate and when it is hard, carefully place them on the cake.
