This chiaseeds pudding makes a healthy and delicious breakfast. A good alternative for a sandwich or a bowl of yogurt. Chia seeds are one of the power foods, packed with antioxidants. We have been using it for years in our homemade granola. But this summer we learned that chia seeds can also be used to gel liquids. Leaving the seeds in a liquid for some time causes the seeds to open and the liquid to thicken, like a pudding. We tried this with almond milk, combined it with granola and a delicious new breakfast was created.

Chia seeds are full of essential nutrients. So a super food! You can easily incorporate it into your diet. In order for chia seeds to come into their own, you need to soak them. We tried it in a number of different plant-based milks and they all worked great. By soaking, the seeds open and the milk gelles into a kind of pudding. Add some vanilla extract or honey and you have a delicious healthy breakfast.

Ingrediënten

Chiapudding

  • 150 ml vegetal milk, we prefer almond milk
  • 2 table spoons chia seeds
  • 2 table spoons granola, try our recipe for homemade granola
  • 1 handful blue berries or other fruits

Instructies

  • Mix the chia seeds with the milk. Stir well. Leave on the counter for 10 minutes and then stir well again. The chia seeds should be all over the milk and not lumpy.
  • Put the mixture in the fridge overnight, the chia seeds will now gel and make the milk into a pudding.
  • Fill a container with a few tablespoons of granola. Add the chia pudding. Garnish with some blueberries or other fresh fruit.
