Roasted cauliflower

Deliciously marinated spicy cauliflower.

  • 1 medium sized cauliflower
  • 2 teaspoons spicy curry powder
  • 2 teaspoons spicy paprika powder
  • 1 teaspoon onionpowder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 40 ml tomato paste
  • 100 ml water
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil


  • Put on a pan of water with a teaspoon of salt.
  • Clean the cauliflower.
  • Cook the cauliflower in the boiling water for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, make the marinade by mixing all the other ingredients.
  • Remove the semi-cooked cauliflower from the water and turn it upside down.
  • Pour about half of the marinade into the inside of the cauliflower. Then shake the cauliflower well so that as much of the cauliflower as possible is covered with the marinade.
  • Then turn it over and apply the marinade to the cauliflower with a brush. There may be a solid layer on it.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  • Place the cauliflower on a baking tray and roast it in the oven. Our cauliflower took about 60 minutes to fully cook. You can test this by poking it with a fork from time to time. The fork should be able to pierce the cauliflower really easily.
  • Serve it on a platter garnished with other vegetables or potatoes.
