Ingrediënten

  • 475 gr all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 270 ml warm water, not hot
  • sunflower oil
  • 1 tsp sugar

Instructies

  • Mix yeast, warm water and sugar and set aside on a wooden board.
  • When the yeast starts to foam, add it to the flour and salt.
  • Then knead by hand quite a few times on a floured countertop. Dough remains soft and supple.
  • Grease a bowl with oil and place the ball in it. Cover with a tea towel and place on a wooden board. Let rise for about 30 minutes.
  • Divide the ball into 8 pieces on baking paper. Roll out each ball with a rolling pin. I do it one by one, if there is one in the pan I roll out the next. So I only need 1 baking paper.
  • Heat a large frying pan, add a little sunflower oil and when the pan is hot, place the naan in it. Cook for two minutes on each side and take out.
  • After baking, rub with a mixture of garlic and olive oil, if desired.
  • Tip: do not roll out too thin because then the air will be out and no bubbles in the naan.
